Did you know you can grow potatoes in a bucket or large pot? Even if you don’t have a garden you can get a good crop from just one potato – at least enough for a portion of oven baked chips or mash for bangers – grown on your doorstep? The potatoes are surplus stock from Stonham Barns Potato Day, held every year at Stonham Barns http://www.eapd.btck.co.uk/ We have had a great range of main crop, 1st and 2nd early, red, white and coloured potatoes as well as some of the more exotic species such as ‘Blue Danube’, ‘Highland Red’ and ‘Shetland Black’ passed on to us. So hurry down and get your potatoes for the season ahead.
