It was a different experience for many to paint “in the field”. After spending the first half hour selecting their subjects from the abundant community garden – flowers and veg, including artichoke (pictured) and a red onion (pulled up a little prematurely), it was a question of getting down to work, fuelled by tea and biscuits provided by staff and volunteers at the garden.

It was an interesting experience to watch the artists at work, and their talents were admired by all.

Shirley dropped in for a chat, and Kevin from Hospital Radio interviewed Sara during his regular Friday broadcast.
