This will include a free brisk health walk, a more leisurely history of the park walk, followed by refreshments & cakes, time for a chat and plant sale at the ActivLives Chantry Walled Garden project. Donations in aid of the ActivLives Chantry Walled Garden project would be very much appreciated.
For the health walk please meet at 10.45am at the top of the Sue Ryder / visitors car park and for those who want to join the history walk please meet outside the front of the Sue Ryder Home at 11.30am. The history walk will last approximately one hour followed by tea and cakes. Please wear suitable shoes.
Julie Stokes CEO said, ‘ActivLives runs two health walks in Ipswich, alternate Mondays in Christchurch Park and once a month on Wednesday’s in Chantry Park. Walking is a great way to start increasing your physical activity levels and Ipswich is so lucky to have all these wonderful parks for the general public to use. Not everyone likes walking on their own, so the health walks not only help to improve people’s fitness and stamina, but give people an opportunity to meet other people, make friends and have a chat out in the fresh air.We hope people will come and join us on the 28th May.’
