SUMMARY:The ActivLives Community Games
DESCRIPTION:This is proving to be a very sporty summer what with the Euro F
 ootball in France\, the Olympics and Paralympics in Rio and of course the 
 very first ActivLives Community Games being held on Saturday 30th July at 
 the Maidenhall Sports Centre in Ipswich at 1pm - 5:30pm\n\nThis will be a 
 multi - sport event with opportunities to play kurling\, badminton\, bocci
 a\, bowls\, table tennis\, walking netball and football and short tennis. 
 We hope that these games will draw upon the true Olympian spirit – no no
 t Athens and de Coubertin\, but a small town in Shropshire called Much Wen
 lock where the Wenlock Olympian Games were first held in 1850 (46 years be
 fore the first modern Olympics in Athens).\n\nThe ActivLives Community Gam
 es will give people who are over the age of 50 and who don’t consider th
 emselves to be particularly sporty\, an opportunity to have a go at\, and 
 to compete in a variety of fun sports events. For many this will be the fi
 rst time that they have taken part in a ‘sports day’ since their schoo
