Karen joined ActivLives as a Trustee because she wanted to help a charity that’s rooted in community, inclusion, and helping people live fuller lives – values that resonate strongly with her own.

With over 30 years of experience in recruitment across the UK and overseas, she brings a deep understanding of people, business development, and building strong, lasting relationships. She is the founder of Melior Recruitment, a Suffolk-based recruitment consultancy that takes a more honest, human approach to accountancy and operational recruitment.

Karen has a down-to-earth, ethical approach and thrives on helping individuals and businesses thrive.  Outside of work, Karen enjoys live music, spending time outdoors with her partner and their Norfolk Terrier, Maxi.  She also enjoys swimming, yoga, and the occasional hog run.
