ActivLives is a local charity, which relies on grants, trusts, donations, fundraising activities, sponsorship & commissions to enable us to provide & develop our services across Ipswich & Suffolk.

ActivFriends

Are you a carer for a relative with dementia or a physical health condition, or do you live alone and feel isolated at home?

If so our ActivFriends weekly Hub could be just the place for both of you.

If the answer is yes, then why not come and join our friendly group, ActivFriends, a weekly community hub and meet other, local people in a relaxed environment, with tea & biscuits and a fun activity to take part in.

We offer the opportunity to make new friends, take part in fun activities and enjoy a freshly cooked, 2 course lunch, supported by our lovely volunteers.

We are a very friendly group, and each week is different and offers the opportunity to meet up with like-minded people in a safe, relaxed environment.

The hub is supported by staff and volunteers who are happy to have a chat and provide advice if needed.

St Mary at Stoke Lunch Club

Would you like to have hot meals and make new friends?

The Lunch Club provides a nutritious hot two course meal, at an affordable price for people aged 50 plus. Lunch club is open on Tuesdays, and are run by a dedicated team of volunteers, who provide up to 30 hot meals every week. It is located at St Mary at Stoke Church Hall, Stoke Street, Ipswich, IP2 8DA.

This Lunch Club provides more than just a lunch:

Better Balance Session â€“ Doors open at 10am and at 10.30am a Better Balance (seated/standing) activity session is held for an hour, to help people improve their balance, strength and co-ordination and prevent falls and fractures.

The Lunch Club serves lunch at 12 noon – 1.30pm.

Men’s Breakfast Hub

Fancy something different?

Feel like meeting up with some local, likeminded men and enjoying activities, discussion and informal chats, over a cuppa and a bacon bap?

A social, confidential, support group for men aged 45 and over.

Our friendly Breakfast Hub offers a relaxed, safe environment for open conversation and group led activities , with support and advice from qualified staff, volunteers and outside agencies.

Every Wednesday, 10am – 12pm at the Cress Pavilion, Halifax Road, Ipswich IP2 8RE

Do you want to sing your heart out?

Bringing people together in a fun and social way, making friends, reducing stress and boosting self-confidence through song!

First session FREE for new members! ÂŁ7 per session

We have two locations and schedules:

ActivSingers – Woodbridge

1st & 3rd Friday of the month, 10:00am – 12:00pm

The venue is at Quay Church, Quay Street, Woodbridge IP12 1BX

ActivSingers – Ipswich

2nd & 4th Friday of the month, 10:00am – 12:00pm

The venue is at Pinewood Community Hall, Laburnum Close, Pinewood, Ipswich, IP8 3SL
