Activ Lawn Bowls

Tuesday 10:30 am – 12:30 noon from May to September at the Kesgrave War Memorial Community Centre, Twelve Acre Approach, Kesgrave, Ipswich, Suffolk IP5 1JF

This is an outdoor session from May to September played on the lovely green in Kesgrave. Thank you to Kesgrave Community Centre and Kesgrave Bowls Club for the lovely venue. We are not a ‘club’, as such, but we are a group of people who really enjoy a game of bowls. This is an informal session that is non-competitive. Some players bring their own bowls/woods but many use those that are provided by us. Don’t worry if you don’t have your own. The session is led by one of our experienced Activity Facilitators. Even if you haven’t played before, we can help you with basic playing techniques and rules. This session runs throughout the summer.

Cost

£6.00 per session

This includes refreshments. We do not charge any membership fees. Local bus route and off-road parking available.

ActivBowls – Short Mat Indoors

Tuesday 10:30 am – 12:30 pm from September to April at the Gainsborough Sports Centre, 5 Braziers Wood Road, IP3 0SP

The indoor short mat is an informal session and non-competitive. We are not a club but we enjoy a game of bowls. We provide the bowls/woods so don’t worry if you don’t have your own. But you can also bring yours for the game. An experienced Activity Facilitator will help you with basic playing techniques and rules. You don’t need prior experience in playing bowls.

This is a very friendly, easy going session. We stop for a cuppa on the ‘veranda’ at half time.

New players are very welcome, at any point throughout the summer.
