Jars of our delicious honey straight from ActivHives are now on sale at £5 for a 227g (8oz) jar and £10 for 454g (1lb) jar.
ActivHives aims to open the ancient craft of keeping bees to as many people as possible, enabling them to gain an understanding of these fascinating creatures and how to help them thrive, alongside improving their gardens and their local environment for the benefit of nature.
Around 30 volunteers and more than 300 people have helped out and taken part in looking after the bees and harvesting the honey this season.
We have hosted primary school visits, groups of childminders and their children, and welcomed young people – including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
Volunteers from local business have been wowed by the project and families and groups have come along for a Beekeeping Experience, led by Lead Beekeeper Ian.
