This course, led by Green Champion and bee-keeper Betsy Reid, is designed for bee-keepers at the People’s Community Garden community apiary, ActivHives, and will respond to issues they have encountered in their first year of bee-keeping. Drawing on the syllabus of the British Bee-Keepers Association, newcomers and beginners are also very welcome – and especially those interested in joining our team. During the course, there will be opportunities to visit the apiary and gain experience of winter maintenance.
Cost: £35 or £10 per session Free to ActivHives volunteers
It is intended that participants attend all four sessions. If this is not possible, then each session can be paid for individually.
