From ActivLives Chair of Trustees Daniel Billson GoFundMe page:
Hi there! Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
As you may know, I am the chair of trustees of Activlives, and on 15 November, I will walk 26.2 miles up the Suffolk Coast path from Bawdsey to Aldeburgh for the charity (and fish and chips).
I will be setting off from Bawdsey Ferry at 7am, in time to see the sunrise and I’m expecting (with no experience!) for it to take between 8.5 to 10 hours, although I will try and beat the sunset at 4:10pm.
These are extremely challenging times for many local charities, with grant funding becoming more scarce and difficult to obtain, and core costs ever increasing, and Activlives is no exception.
I have seen first hand, on numerous occasions, the significant positive impact Activlives has on so many people within the Suffolk community (in particular, the elderly and those living with disabilities) to ensure they remain socially and physically active in a world where it is so easy to feel alone.
In this spirit, if anyone would like to join me on this “stroll”, for whatever distance you feel comfortable, you are very welcome (thanks to those who’ve already said they’d like to join me)! In joining me, you may even want to use it as an opportunity to fundraise for Activlives yourself! ☺️
Any amount you are able to donate will be hugely appreciated and go far to help keep our precious charity changing lives. ❤️
