GardenGATE2 is now open to applications from people over 19 years old without employment, who would like to learn skills in garden maintenance, plant nursery work and market enterprise.

Learners will be mentored by professional horticultural staff at the gardens, and gain work experience as part of a friendly volunteer team.

There will also be four training workshops covering a range of topics, including readiness for work, health and safety, basic garden maintenance, use of garden machinery, planning production, indoor cropping and caring for plants under glass.

This is a great opportunity for people who would like to learn new skills and work towards employability, as well as build their confidence and positivity.

If you would like to take up this exciting opportunity, or for further information, please contact Susannah or Cynthia on 01473 261112 or 07530 407302 or email susannah@activlives.org.uk.
