Children made spooky potato prints, led by new volunteer Sarah, as well as visiting the witches coven, splatting the rat, bouncing eye balls, trying their luck on the Halloween tombola (courtesy of Sheryl and Adrian), and of course – top favourite – carving pumpkins, all grown at the garden this year under the watchful eye of staff member Maz.

Transition Ipswich cooked up a tasty soup almost entirely from allotment produce, Kev stoked up the clay oven and baked spuds donated from his plot, while ActivLives ‘Keep on Rockin’’ team sold delicious cakes made by volunteer Gavin, as well as honey from our community apiary. Joy made an appearance with her wonderful selection of jams and chutneys for everyone to sample.

Thanks to all who helped make this such a fantastic day!
