Record breaking day at Chantry Park Walled Garden Plant Fair

Chantry Park Walled Garden Nursery was looking resplendent yesterday as it threw open its gates for the 2023 Plant Fair. The new look Nursery was packed with perennials, flower baskets and bedding plants all waiting to be snapped up by eager members of the public looking to brighten up their gardens this summer.

As 10 o’clock struck the crowds bustled in and began browsing the plants on offer, the stream of visitors never ceased making it the busiest day of plant sales on record at the Nursery. Once our customers had picked out their plants it was time for them to head over to the cottage to enjoy a well-earned cuppa and a slice of a delicious Victoria Sponge, one of the tastiest cakes ever eaten on planet Earth (That is not an overstatement, it’s a solid fact.)

Thank you to everyone who came down to the Plant Fair and enjoyed this special day and our thanks also goes to all of the ActivLives volunteers who helped make it a massive success. If you weren’t able to make it to the Plant Fair this year then never fear as the Chantry Park Walled Garden is still open 10am-2pm every Tuesday and Thursday for plant sales.
