Seed potatoes are now available down at the People’s Community Garden! We have a bounty going free to any community group or school and are selling bags at a very affordable price for anyone who wants some! We have a great range of main crop, 1st and 2nd early, red, white and coloured potatoes as well as some of the more exotic species such as ‘Blue Danube’, ‘Highland Red’ and ‘Shetland Black’. So hurry down and get your potatoes for the season ahead. We will also be selling these at our Plant and Produce Showcase at our ‘Community Resource, Education and Skills Space’ (CRESS) launch at the Pavilion on Halifax Road, Ipswich IP2 8RE on Saturday 21 March 11am till 2pm.
Thanks to Ipswich Organic Gardeners, Suffolk Gardeners and the Norfolk Organic Group who generously donate surplus potatoes to us after their ‘East Anglian Potato Day’ at the Mid Suffolk Show Ground, Stonham Barns, in February.
