Staff and volunteers are busy planning a fantastic line-up of stalls, entertainment and activities, including a competition to grow the tallest sunflower in the ‘Year of the Sunflower’.
There will be an opportunity to look around the gardens, visit the bee hives, buy plants and produce, and relax and enjoy a cuppa in the refurbished CRESS Pavilion, as well as get involved with ActivIpswich activities and games, such as boccia.
Organised by ActivLives and Maidenhall Residents’ Association, with support from Ipswich Borough Council, the event promises to be a great day out for all the family, with live music, craft tents, carousel and bouncy castle, games and face painting.
Maidenhall Residents’ Association will be hosting stalls with books, bric a brac and handmade gift cards, holding a tombola, and running the Pavilion café, while Maidenhall Allotments are preparing their usual great stand of veg and produce, along with games and activities. Meanwhile, members of Cowell’s Bowls Club will be on their green to show people how to play.
