ActivAgeing Project Officers, Lindsay Bennett and Laura Gill are working in partnership with Cheryl Holder, Sports and Community Co-ordinator at Kesgrave Community Centre, to create an ActivHub in Kesgrave. This club will be held at The Bowls Club, Kesgrave Community Centre on a weekly basis starting on Friday 2nd August 2013 from 10 am to 1 pm. This will provide opportunities for residents of Kesgrave and surrounding areas to meet and make new friends as well as enjoy a light healthy lunch plus tea/coffee. Come and join in the first session for FREE.

10.30am               Taster chair based exercise session

11.30am – 1pm    Teas / coffee’s and snacks available

There will also be the opportunity to take part in fun, seated and standing exercise sessions led by qualified fitness instructors and a whole range of other interesting activities will also be developed, including cooking demo’s, yoga, bowls introduction etc. These sessions are designed to maintain strong healthy bones, improve posture, stability, strength and balance, as well as helping to retain independence.

There will be a small charge of £2.50 per exercise session. Teas, coffees and lunch charged accordingly. Please feel free to attend any / all of the sessions.

If you have problems with mobility and accessing the club we may also be able to offer assistance with transport.
