The Festival is open to the public from the 4th – 10th December and you can see the 83 trees on show from different groups, charities and local businesses. Make sure you see our tree which is number 30. The event this year is raising funds for two charities, Alzheimer’s Society & the Ipswich Night Shelter, as well as helping support the Church.
Four representatives from ActivLives attended the colourful opening ceremony on Wednesday 4th December to watch the lights on all the trees be switched on by Terry Baxter, Chairman of Ipswich Central. The ceremony was opened by Deputy Mayor of Ipswich, Councillor Hamil Clarke, carols were sung and then everyone was encouraged to view all the trees, eat and be merry.
