The course is being set up as part of ActivIpswich, a sports project that is targeted at people who are over 45 years old (there is no upper age limit), and who are not currently taking part in regular sport.

“This course is for anyone who would like to have a go at some sport and games activity in a friendly and fun environment. No need for any level of fitness or special kit or equipment, just come along and have a bash – the kettle will be on and we will be having some fun”, said Mike McCarthy, ActivAtor on the ActivIpswich project.

The course is being held on Tuesday evenings, starting on the 17th March, at Greenfinch Church Hall in Ipswich, between 6.00-8.00pm. It is completely FREE and runs for six weeks.

“We will be doing some walk sports, some racket games and playing with balls! The emphasis will be very much on having a go and having fun – no experts or fitness fanatics allowed”, said Mike.
