A Lion was seen Stomping in Christchurch Park

Ipswich Lions Club volunteers and ActivLives staff and a very friendly Lion joined forces to raise funds for the two Charities with a ‘Community Stomp’ around Christchurch Park on Saturday 14th April 2018. Meeting at the Reg Driver Centre participants enjoyed a walk around the park, as well as, finding out interesting facts about the park with the ‘Quiz in the Park’.

Julie Stokes, ActivLives CEO, said “It was great to see so many of ActivLives members and the general public taking part in the walk and helping raise funds for the two Charites. Both charities support local residents with different initiatives, support, services and activities. The Ipswich Lions Club volunteers made some lovely cakes, there was a tombola and refreshments were available for participants and the general public to purchase during and after the walk.’

£358.06 was raised on the day and when all the sponsorship is collected this funding will be split between the two charities.

ActivLives and the Ipswich Lions would like to thank everyone who took part and Ipswich Borough Council for the use of the Park and the Reg Driver Centre
