You can also bring some autumn and winter cheer to your gardens with an array of herbaceous and bedding plants from Chantry walled Garden available for sale.

Our bees have been busy too and we have the last of this season’s honey which has been very popular …so hurry up and grab a jar while stocks last!

Meanwhile ActivSheds will be in full swing, so come along and find out more about the sparrow nesting boxes they have been making.

Maidenhall Residents’ Association and other community groups will also be offering their wares for sale and

And finally, when you have been wowed with chopping, infusing and tasting, put your feet up and have a cuppa in the community café with a slice of cake and a light lunch made with ingredients from the garden, served up by Julie, the CRESS café proprietor with a magic touch for cakes.

The community garden will be open from 9am to 3pm, so please feel free look around and talk to some of our volunteers.

We need volunteers – please get in touch if you can help. We welcome beginners and those who would like to learn new skills. But we also need experienced gardeners to help with a range of tasks – both at the People’s Community Garden, near the CRESS Pavilion, and Chantry Walled Garden, in Chantry Park. Call 01473 345350 if you’d like to lend a hand.
